DNA Barcoding Laboratory belongs to the Entomology Section, Department of Zoology, Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka, BANGLADESH. In Bangladesh rapid urbanization, industrialization and indiscriminate uses of pesticides in agriculture are causing serious pollution. This may also stimulates emergence of newer insect pests of agriculture, medical and veterinary field. Along with dengue and malaria are also notable medically important diseases which vector is mosquitoes. To deal with the coming threats, each nation might have a quick and correct taxonomic tool to identify those insects. Correct taxonomic identification of these vectors and pests, along with identification of pollinators like butterflies and bees will certainly guide the scientist to attempt proper and quick management measures.
